I don't mean to insult God, God is outside my control. He/She controls me. Take a bath doesn't mean take a shower like human beings, its just our understanding not in the God understanding. Well, we didn't brought God actually, its just a symbol of God. We have several holly statue or 'pratima' in our temple. On a holly day like this, we bring thoose statues to the ocean. Ocean is a holly place before the horizon. This concept was came from "Tirta Kamandalu story of Hinduism epic". Its a long story why we choose ocean as a holly place.

While God "take a bath", we pray. We pray for our ceremony, we pray for universe harmony. Then after that we hope the universe got their holly spirit by "taking a bath", a spiritual bath to get our "bhuana agung" and "bhuana alit" become holly and pure.

It's 'Budha Cemeng Kelawu', Balinese calendar time, when we were held a ceremony for family temple. This ceremony held based on Bali Hinduism tradition. This ceremony called 'Odalan' or 'Piodalan'. The main purpose of this ceremony is to sanctify the family temple. We bring some offerings for the gods.

About the family temple it self, in Bali, all the Hindu family has their own family temple located on a holy place of their house yard. The common temple consist of some 'pelinggih' such as 'Kemulan', 'Taksu', 'Piyasan' and 'Tugu'. Another temple maybe consist of more than thoose buildings.

To pray in the family temple feels like we are come to our beloved ancestry back. As the heredirarity of ancestos, it is a must that we have to show our faith to them by held a ceremony like 'Piodalan'.

Jembrana's e-government started here. Today, i have this done.. the first thing of all my next journey. The head office of Jembrana's government was huge. They settle on a very expansive area, don't know sure. The Parking area located out side the main sphere. The arrangement of the buildings so presentable.

Jembrana has motto "kalau mau pasti bisa", while when i translate it to the wild translation it could be "if want sure can" (just don't make it so serious). The motto closely means "we can do it, if we want to" (more polite).

E-governement award 2008 (WartaEGov magazine version) bestow Jembrana as "Best of The Best" e-Government Indonesia 2008. By this succes makes Jembrana become the most wanted government of Indonesia to be lesson-learned.

Extended holidays in Bali, i have my opportunity to feel my life in villa. Its located nearby my village. This villa is about hundred metres from beach line. The view was wonderful. Feel the ocean wind and a nature environment.

This place was a rice field before they built a villa on it. Another villa located not far away from this.

Feels like my own. Welcome to Beraban.

You should believe me, in Bali, the old lady is the person who prays a lot. Coz they out from their daily work getting financial needs for the family. Their grown children now has built a new family and new responsibility.

The old lady is the person who knows the pure culture of Hinduism Bali. They teach the new Hinduism generation how to make ceremony equipment such as "Banten" or "Sesaji". Their life mostly dedicated for religion life of the family. While their children do some works out there, the old lady bring prayers for them.

And so, the Balinesse life goes on. In the Spirit of Hinduism.

'Jineng' is not as the main house building in Bali. Jineng mostly functioned as ber-lazy place or 'bermalas-malasan'

Balinese architechture placed Jineng in the yard of a house. Others can ussualy place Jineng on the green garden as in villas.

The main function of Jineng is as a place to put rices or 'gabah' after harvest time. The top part or at the roof side has this function. While we can sit bellow. We can use it as a place talking with family ane others.

Lots of uniqe buildings in Bali. Lucky me, i have one.

When we have someone being cured in the hospital, we wait for them outside.

Seems like moving from home.. But we do not expect this for a long time.

The positive thing is, we meet the other new people. Share our things and talk to them anythinglly..

You're viewing the rice fields in my village. They are green, real green. It's after harvest time, the farmers has plants a new seeds. They have to wait three months before the next harvest time.

We live near the Hindia Ocean. We can feel the wind blown from the ocean. In the night we can hear the sound of the ocean waves. 'byuuurr.....' like that.

I have trouble while posting to my blog. This is a triall posting.. If you can read this.. So it workz..

Who was on that video?? they are Dewa Budjana on guitar and Trie Utami singing. They sang on the name of "Nyanyian Dharma" Foundation. On the other occation there was Wayan Balawan with guitar klinik. They are Balinesse artist, and my most fave.

Bali Jamfest 2008 (stands for Bali Jambore Music Festival 2008), was held in two days in Ngurah Rai stadium Bali. Another musicians such as: all balinesse singer Nanoe Biroe, XXX, SID, Dek Ulik and many more... i just wait for Budjana and Balawan's performance.

I know more videos and pictures needed to describe the crowd, but how ever this is still my mobile activity needs more bandwidth to post all the frame. One is more than enough to be an example.

There was two main stages.. the artists sing countinous one by one like carnaval. When Nanoe Biroe has their turn, the crowds were more energic and rush. So did when XXX and SID.

But, poorly when Balawan and Bali Guitar Club brought Led Zeppelin song, the crowds cooling down and seems like "kebo mebalih gong". They didn't understand the song. What the..f>>. Or maybe they were tired. I don't know..

In Bali, when every house has built we celebrate it as a new born of a family equipment. The 'melaspas' ceremony held based on cultural and religion in Bali which is mostly Hinduism. The ceremony aims are to make that building holy, coz it made from so many materials from the earth. When thoose materials become one complete united house, it needs to holyzied. By that ceremony, hopefuly the black power will we neutralized, so the family can live well.

Today, we are in Tandan, Tabanan Bali. One of our gank held this ceremony. We came, we ate some food.

Fun fun fun...

Are they some kind of food? Ofcourse yes. Real nutritious. Coz consist of reach taste and flavour, deep spicy.

Then what are they? Rice as the main menu. We have 'gondo' for vegetables, fries egg, mixed shrimp or 'pencokan udang' and some fried fish or we call 'gorengan pindang'. Well, sounds tasty right? Yeah.. Real good.

Gondo is good for our health. It gives us vitamins for our eyes. Coz they are real real green. Shrimp, is the source of protein, and also fish or pindang, rich of protein.

Theese what i have for breakfast this morning. Made by my grandmother. Only available in Bali.

Does anyone aware that 'buah salak' called Zalacca edulis..?? Today, i found that word in my dictionary. We often eat that kind of fruit, but we dont know how to name it in english.

Then, in Indonesia there are many kind of zalacca edulis variety. The two most famous are zalacca edulis from Bali, and pondoh zalacca edulis from Jogjakarta. The difference between thoose variety is pondoh zalacca edulis sweeter than zalacca edulis from bali. But its all depends on favourite taste you like.

Nowdays, the produsen of that accesories make their products more atractive, so the consumers not only get the fucntionality, but also they are confident with their stylish stuff.

Especially in Jogjakarta, there are many students with fashion-minded needs. While they fulfill the needs of school equipment like computer, they can also make it more rainbows. Example, an mickey-moused mouse, cheerfull-colored CD case, many form USB flash disk and many more.

At least, the passion of computer needs are growing by years in Indonesia, and information-society are trigered by new form of computer equipments like thoose stuff.

Bakso is one of my favourite meals. Bakso within the name, made from meat with rich ingredients. Some kind of meat usually used to make 'bakso' are beef, chicken or even pig.

At this time, its my fave to have bakso made from 'you know what', pig. Or we are here like to call 'bakso bab1'.

In Jogjakarta there are several 'pig-meat-ball' seller or kios. Like this one, its located behind Social Depart. Office Jogjakarta.

Di Jogja kita menyebutnya sebagai sebuah komunitas 'sekaha demen'. Ya.. Karena memang siapa yang demen2 megambel, ya megambel. Ga peduli bisa ato tidak. Agar menjadi bisa, ya belajar.. tetapi harus demen dulu, baru nanti tidak cepet bosan.

Ayo mari2 lestarikan kesenian Bali dimanapun kita sekalian berada. Kuyakin, khususnya di Jogja pasti banyak mahasiswa baru jebolan festival2 gong kebyar, ato baleganjur, ato sekan drama di Bali. Mari bergabung demen2 ati e di Asrama Saraswati Jogja.

Iseng aja pengen foto buku. Hanya kupikir, sampai kapan buku2 ini akan tetap ada. Jaman kan udah elektronik. Berbagai pengetahuan bisa ditampilkan lebih interaktif.. Adakah faktor kebiasaan dan faktor kebisaan dalam cara mencari pengetahuan? Sebab ada orang yang merasa lebih nyaman membaca versi cetakan ketimbang elektronik.

Faktor2 lain yang terpikir olehku adalah:
1. Versi cetakan adalah lebih resmi, karena ada pihak yg secara tegas dan jelas bertanggung jawab mengenai isinya. Resmi untuk referensi ilmiah.
2. Tidak semua orang memiliki media elektronik.
3. Mengisi kekosongan ruangan, biar kelihatan akademis.

Seperti beberapa tahun yang telah berlalu, KMHD se-Jogja menyelenggarakan acara untuk mempererat silaturahmi antar KMHD.

Tahun ini adalah turnamen futsal KMHD se-Jogja. Hari ini adalah pembukaan turnamen, yg diselenggarakan di Telaga Futsal Jogja. Sebagai partai pembukaan, tim yang bertanding adalah tim MAHIMA SSG melawan KMHD UNY. Dalam pertandingan 2 X 15 menit KMHD UNY mengungguli MAHIMA SSG dgn skor 6:3. Pertandingan berjalan cukup seru loh.. Banyak suporter yg tidak tetap pendirian.. Pokoke, asal gul dan seru.. Jeg mesurak..

Keren keren...

Makin banyak kegiatan seperti ini, mungkin mahasiswa Hindu di Jogja akan makin banyak ajang bwt saling bersilaturahmi..

Acara Dharma Santhi d Jogja identik dgn perayaan Nyepi di Jogja. Namun, kali ini momen yg diambil bukan sebagai rangkaian Nyepi, melainkan dalam kemasan pegelaran kesenian Bali.

Pelaksana kegiatan adalah KMHD ISI, MAHIMA SSG dan KMHD AKBID YO. Pementasan dilaksanakan di gedung theater ISI.

Gmana acaranya? Namanya juga ISI, so pasti bebanyolan ataw bercandaan. Cuma dsini ada Tari Jauk yg kegirangan di panggung setelah menari. Suksees...!

Pementasan puncak menampilkan fragmentari 'I Godogan' ataw kodok besar. Godogan lahir dari seorang ibu yang bekung ataw tidak bisa punya anak. Gmana detailnya? Pokoke lucu.. Klo mw cerita yg lbh serius, mungkin sumber lainya bs mnjelaskan lbh detail.

Sudahkah anda pake Linux hari ini...?.... Saya pake dua!! OpenSUSE ama Ubuntu. Keren ga sih.. Keren dong.. Kan linux juga ada distro2nya, sama seperti fesyen. ABG2 beli baju aja ke distro. Distro2 linux ada banyaaak banget.. Kaga bisa deh dijelasin dsini.

Anyway, hari ini adalah acara release salah satu distro Linux yaitu Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. Acaranya dslenggarakan di kampus II UPN Babarsari. Pesertanya uwokeh juga lho.. Konsep acaranya sederhana banget. Konon acara ini bertujuan untuk memperingati kelahiran release Ubuntu yg baru. Ada juga sharing2 dari para pemakai Linux.

Seneng deh dapet Live CD Ubuntu gratis, bermerek (baca: berstiker). Ternyata ada juga ya pengguna Linux? Ya iya law... Di luar sana juga pasti banyak komunitas pengguna Linux lainya.

Memangnya mampu beli w1nd()55 asli? Mumpun ada yg FOSS, pake aja dlu..

Menu makan siang kali ini adalah 'lotek'. Dalam bahasa Bali disebut juga 'tipat cantok', ato d Jawa sejenis dgn sayur pecel.

Penyajian lotek biasanya ada beberapa pilihan, mw pake lontong ato nasi. Kali ini disandingkan sayur lotek dgn nasi putih. Hasilnya: lotek nasi, tentu saja, dan kewajiban makan siangpun terpenuhi. Harga: IDR 4.500 per porsi.

Cuaca agak mendung gni memang cocok ntk duduk d bawah pohon beringin sambil makan lotek. Suejuuk.. Apalagi lingkungan seputaran jln. Sorowajan baru ini lingkunganya agak tenang.

Seperti bisanya, setiap rerainan (Hari suci umat Hindu) dilakukan persembahyangan bersama.

Kali ini adalah bulan Purnama. Umat Hindu di Jogja melakukan sembahyang bersama. Kebanyakan dihadiri oleh mahasiswa Hindu di Jogja.

Sekalian untuk berkumpul dgn teman2, acara persembahyangan ini juga merupakan ajang untuk mengenal wajah2 baru mahasiswa Hindu di Jogja.

Kawanku, tetap ingatlah untuk selalu memuja Tuhanmu disaat sembahyang...

Yap yap.. Mesti asumsinya penuh dgn buku dak kertas2 penelitian. Jaman sekarang, informasi bisa diakses darimana saja, sepanjang ada jalur internet. Cool banged...

Ini adalah situasi di perpus STIE YKPN Jogja. Dingin banged dsini (emang dasar gw ndeso). Sambil nunggu bimbingan, blogging2..

Mahasiswanya sini pada menyimpan segala bentuk informasi di leptopnya.. Akses internetnya full. Cuma saja, pagi kok sepi ya? Apa karena lokasinya di perpus, trus jadi terkesan akademis banged?

Mestinya enggak ya.. Tapi memang mending internetan di mol, bisa sambil cuci mata cuci hati..

Warung burjo...
Hm.. Asal kata dari 'bubur kacang ijo'. Awalnya memang dikenal sebagai penjual bubur kacang ijo ala Jawa Barat sana.

Seiring perkembangan ekonomi dan politik Indonesia, warung burjo berkembang ntk memenuhi kebutuhan mahasiswa dgn menjual makanan sederhana seperti nasi telor, nasi sarden bahkan nasi goreng. Sampai komoditi bubur kacang ijo pun mulai berkurang.

Mulai tahun 2002 warung burjo mulai ada dalam database warung makan ku. Waktu itu harga burjo IDR 1.100. Tahun 2008 berkembang menjadi IDR 2.000. Komoditi tambahan berupa nasi telor dan sebangsanya adalah IDR 3.000. Demikian juga dgn mie instant.

Warung burjo sangat populer terutama tengah malam, ujan-ujan ato pada saat kantong lagi tekor. Makan nasi telor, tambah es teh bila perlu gorengan satu aja cukup bwt sekali periode makan...

Next...

Pada saat itu adalah bencana angin ribut yg disertai hujan deras. Peristiwa ini terjadi dalam durasi cukup lama. Hanya saja video-nya tdk bgt panjang.

Angin ribut dan hujan ternyata memporak-porandakan lingkungan sekitar bundaran UGM-JOGJA. Banyak pohon besar ambruk, bahkan akarnya tdk kuat lagi menahan pohon, dan akhirnya tumbang tertiup angin. Tdk hanya pepohonan, atap-atap gedung pun berterbangan, dan beberapa atap gedung tertiup sampai ke jalan.

Untuk membersikan sisa2 bencana, petugas kebersihan UGM bekerjasama dengan satpam. Pohon2 yg masih rapuh sengaja ditebang agar tdk menimbulkan kekhawatiran tumbang.

Ini leptop yg menyenangkan. Acer 4520, awalnya cuma pake linpus linux, kemudian diajari membajak windows instead of membajak sawah. Hingga sampai hari ini kumigrasi dgn Intrepid Ibex, a.k.a Ubuntu 8.10. Paling setia deh.
Oke, lanjut ke pergantian judul.. God, im yours..
